RS:X World Championships: R4T Training Camp

The RS:X World Windsurfing Championship is fast approaching. Due to start on August 30th, this first RS:X Worlds of the new quadrennial is an important jumping off point for new young sailors with their eyes on qualification for London 2012.

Doubly so, in this case, because the 2009 RS:X Worlds is being staged at the venue for the 2012 Olympic Saling Regatta.

Now is the time to confirm your RS:X World Windsurfing Championships entry if you have not already done so

A quick reminder that we are also putting together an RS:X Reach-4-The-Top Training Camp in Weymouth starting on or about August 25th. Final details are still being worked on but Jacob Holst [DEN] will be the coach.

If you want to take part, please contact me, Rory Ramsden, [rory.ramsden at] as quickly as possible. Cost per day is going to be in the range of €uro 70 per person excluding accommodation, food and fuel for the coach boat.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the conditions and tidal streams likely outside the harbour as well as tune your flat water speed inside.

So do yourself a favour and secure your spot on the training camp by emailing rory.ramsden at now. Only 6 lucky people will be allowed to take part so places are strictly limited and likely to fill fast.

This is your heads up...
